Please Join with us support for 'Walk for Peace' aims to raise awareness of peace, loving kindness, and compassion across America and the world. Mindfulness: Set intentions to cultivate peace, compassion, and loving-kindness in your daily life initiated by our Buddhist monks. The walk began on October 26, 2025, and is planned to span approximately 2,300 miles (3,700 km), concluding in Washington DC in February 2026. The monks have been documenting their travels on social media and are accompanied by a rescue dog named Aloka who has become a symbolic figure in the journey. We wanted to show support for the monks on their journey expressing peace & kindness because this world needs peace at this time as we all seeing so many suffering. this is a powerful reminder of the importance of unity. The Walk for Peace is a simple yet meaningful reminder that unity and kindness begin within each of us and can radiate outward to families.๐ถ๐๏ธโ๏ธThis is an incredibly scenic urban tour in the Presidio of San Francisco. Starting from Presidio Tunnel Tops Park, the loop stays on paved multi-use paths and passes multiple points of interest and viewpoints. Battery Lancaster at Fort Scott and the Golden Gate Bridge Overlook are a few of the points along the route.

there is paid parking available in large lots near the Presidio Visitor Center and Tunnel Tops, located just across Lincoln Boulevard on Anza Avenue. Parking is regulated and paid daily, including weekends, via https://presidio.gov/visit/getting-to-and-around-the-park/parking-in-the-presidio.

Cost: Hourly and daily rates apply, enforced 7 days a week.
