Walk for Peace Ashland, Oregon

Join us for the Walk for Peace in our beautiful Ashland, Oregon! The Theravāda Buddhist monks, from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center, are set to complete their 2,300+ mile journey in Washington D.C. on February 10th.

Inspired by these monks and with appreciation for the journey they have walked, we will have a short Walk for Peace Ashland on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

This will be a silent, mindful walk, without signs or chanting.

1 PM Gathering at Downtown Ashland Plaza. We will take a Mindful Walk from there to the Peace Flame at the Farm at Southern Oregon University.

Water, hat, snacks.

It is approx 1.6 miles from the Ashland Plaza to the Peace Flame on Walker Avenue.

This initiative started by local volunteers and is being co-organized with the help of many. We are grateful for all of the support so far! If you are able and willing to volunteer to shuttle folks back to the plaza after ther walk, please reach out to us at [email protected]
