Dig deeper into the landscapes and history of Mt Cuba’s natural lands with Nate Shampine. In this informal walk and talk you will learn about the acquisition, management practices, and ongoing research associated with the forests, ponds, and meadows of this uniquely beautiful part of the Center. Please bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Be prepared for walking on uneven terrain. (Class size is limited.)
This program takes place in-person (at Mt. Cuba Center) Wednesday, October 20 (Rain Date: Wednesday, October 27)
About the Instructor:
Nate Shampine, CERP, is Mt. Cuba Center’s Natural Lands Manager responsible for implementing land conservation practices and developing healthy and functional ecosystems. He is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and he is also a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner through the Society for Ecological Restoration.
