Waldo’s Coffeehouse returns with our first concert of the 2024–2025 season with The Dreamwalkers, November 9, 7 PM. The Dreamwalkers from Emerson play a unique mix of original music, crafted to blend sweet melodies with lyrical themes of personal journey, spiritual reflection and imagination. Their sounds include finger picking guitar, mandolin, flute and piano, as well as sweet voices and harmonies. Our opening act will feature our own Russell Puffer. The concert is $15 donation. Emerson members can pay beforehand if you want on realm. It’s going to be a great evening of fellowship and music.The Dreamwalkers will have special guests. Founding band members Peter & Mary Golbitz have been playing music together for 20 years, blending their different approaches to music to create new and original sounds.
Peter and Mary are both originally from the New York area but have spent much of their life together in Maine, where they still have a small cabin and go each summer to be in the woods and connect with nature.
Peter is a self-taught musician and song writer, who plays guitar and mandolin, and enjoys writing and playing Americana-roots influenced blues, folk and jazz tunes. Mary is an accomplished musician who plays various flutes, piano, percussion and is a talented singer.
They moved to Powder Springs, Georgia in 2023 to be closer to family and look forward to continuing to create and play music together in the Atlanta area.
Russell Puffer
Russell’s first instrument was guitar but most of his formal music training was as a percussionist in school where he was twice a part of a national championship marching band. He went on to also learn bass guitar, ukelele, and piano and continues to compose and arrange music – several of his compositions were performed at the popular Guerilla Theater at the University of Alabama.
