Frank's LIVE is thrilled to host this special evening celebrating the music of international music legend and local son, Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter, known throughout the world as, "The Man Who Invented Rock & Roll."
The evening will be hosted by "The Friends of Leadbelly," local musicians Danny Wilder, Kathryn Hobgood Ray, Ted Lindsay & Lane Bayliss and feature The Chickadees, Sonny Boy Rambin & Jennifer Janét, Jody Dosher, Buddy Flett & Ryan Ramos and other special guests... stay tuned for updates!
The "Wake for Leadbelly" will follow the annual "Leadbelly Graveside Jam" that will take place earlier from 12-1pm, October 11, 2025 in the cemetery behind The Shiloh Baptist Church 10395 Blanchard-Latex Rd, Mooringsport, LA 71060-9150, where Leadbelly has rested since his passing in 1949.
