This forum will bring together experts in law, policy, and Hawaiian Studies to discuss the evolution of water management in Hawai‘i, from ancestral abundance to exploitation for commercial agriculture and tourism to the crisis at Red Hill and beyond.
Speakers include: Kamanamaikalani Beamer, Dana Naone Hall Chair at the Hawai‘inuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge; Kapua‘ala Sproat, Director of Ka Huli Ao Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law; and Ernest Lau, Manager and Chief Engineer at the Honolulu’s Board of Water Supply.
