Waitsburg Celebration Days 2025

Waitsburg Celebration Days is a time-honored event, starting as early as 1902. Every third weekend in May, people from all over the Pacific Northwest gather together to celebrate the wonderful and historic Waitsburg, Washington. Packed full of events, food, and charming people, Waitsburg Celebration Days is a weekend you don't want to miss!

Info: Friday, May 17 - meet at Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Nothing better than an evening cruise into the Blue Mountains with friends and a little history of the beautiful places we will see.

Info: Friday, May 17 at Preston Park. Grab a partner and head on down to the park for a little competition! Register by May 15, single elimination, max of 40 teams. $40/team with $20 going to Waitsburg Celebration Days and $20 going towards winning pot split 70/30 for 1st and 2nd place. Info: Friday, May 17. Come enjoy a movie night on the house! Sponsored by The Plaza Theater. Ages 5 and up welcome. The local Girl Scouts will be on premises for supervision and there will be a sign in and out sheet for those ages 5-10 years old, along with the name of an adult they can leave with. Info: Saturday, May 18. Since 2012, the American Legion has been providing Saturday morning breakfast for the community. Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, orange juice, milk, and coffee. Delicious! All provided for a minimum fee of $6 at the door, donations also accepted! Flags will also be available for sale, all sizes $1-$25.

Info: Saturday, May 18. Located on The Slab at the North end of Main Street, Simply Sawdust and Smith Craft will be hosting our vendors. Applications are due by May 10th. Late entries may be accepted if spots are available but they fill up fast. Come support our local vendors and shop local.

Info: Saturday, May 18 on the corner of Main and Fourth streets at the Bruce House. Waitsburg Historical Society hosts an ice cream social. And yes, it's perfectly acceptable to eat ice cream in the morning.

Info: Saturday, May 18. Come on down to Simply Sawdust where there will be a pre-cut wooden kit for kids to assemble and decorate with stickers. This is a free event being provided by the Pay It Forward account at Simply Sawdust.

Info: Saturday, May 18. City Gravel Lot, North End of Main St. Friends of the Library are hosting this new event themed "Things That Go." Two story times are planned as well as having Things That Go for kids to explore. Story times are at 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.

Info: Saturday, May 18 at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Come venture on a 35-mile drive around the Blue Mountains taking stops to draw for your best poker hand. Best 5 out of 7 cards gets a chance at a money prize! Along with turning in your hand, a chance at prize giveaways! Departs from the Fairgrounds, beginning at 11:30, turning in your hand at the Fairgrounds by 4:30 pm. The football team will be available to wash your rig for a donation.

Info: Saturday, May 18 at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. The all-inclusive ticket gets you into the entire evening! Dinner & local live music from 5 - 8 PM. Children welcome! Brews are served by our local Lions Club. Proceeds from this ticket creates ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS for our local high school students pursuing higher education. What a great cause! Then 21+ can continue to dance the night away to local favorite Whiskey Creek Band from 8:00-11:30 PM.

Info: Sunday, May 19. Join us for a Fun Run in memory of two beloved members of our community with lively music, coffee, beverages, snacks and FUN. All ages, all levels, all welcome.​

LOCATION:
E 8th St, Waitsburg WA 99361 (near the athletic field concession stand)

COURSE:
All distances are an out-and-back on Wilson Hollow Road from the Waitsburg athletic field. This is an open course. Run at your own risk. A signed waiver is required to enter the run and will be provided to you at packet pick-up starting at 7am on race day.

COST:
Adults - $15.00
Children (12 & Under) - Free

Info: Sunday, May 19 at Preston Park. All are welcome, come as you are! Join us Sunday morning, 10 AM for some music, preaching, and worship of the Lord. Bring your own chair or blanket.

Info: Sunday, May 19 at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Come join in some good ole fashion fun with a community softball game! Men and women are welcome to play. We will form teams based on number of people that sign up. The Waitsburg Firefighters Association will have a beer garden available showcasing local brewery beer from Laht Neppur and Chief Springs.

Info: Sunday, May 19 at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Head on down to the Fairgrounds and play while the adults play softball. We will have basketball, football, baseball, double axe throwing, soccer, field goal, and a 50-foot obstacle course.
