The exhibition runs from February 1 through October 19, 2025, in the Bergman Family Gallery at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, exploring the tension between Bilal's 'comfort zone' in the United States and the 'conflict zone' of Iraq.
Highlights: This comprehensive survey covers the breadth of Bilal's versatile career through performance, sculpture, and interactive technologies, featuring archival displays of his iconic performances including the month-long 'Domestic Tension' (2007) and year-long '3rdi' (2010-11), plus two new works including a sculptural commission for the MCA.
