Who is this forum for?

  • Skilled Nurses and Midwives intending to, or already working in WA.
  • Newly Qualified Nurses and Midwives (NQNM) .
  • Undergraduate Nursing and Midwifery students. The expo will be particularly valuable for students entering their final semester of studies in the first half of 2022, as they will be eligible to apply for the GradConnect process opening February 21 2022 for positions starting Jul – Dec 2022.
  • Prospective Nursing and Midwifery students

What can this forum offer me?

1. The Expo invites all nurses and midwives inclusive of experienced and newly qualified nurses and midwives (NQNM). There will be opportunities to gain information on employment in the public and private sectors across WA, refresher and return to practice pathways, graduate programs, and post graduate study opportunities. In addition there will be representation from the vocational and tertiary sectors to deliver information to participants interested in a future nursing or midwifery career.

2. Booth style face to face information sharing by all organisations will be available at this event.

3. Formal presentations will be conducted concurrently in two adjacent theatres.

  • One will deliver information on areas of workforce need and employment opportunities in WA.
  • The other delivering information for NQNM in relation to the GradConnect process and transition to practice programs on offer.

What if I can’t attend in person?

Livestreaming capabilities will be available to ensure participants who are unable to attend in person are not disadvantaged. This will also mitigate the risk if COVID restrictions are required.

  • You will still need to register for a livestream ticket.

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate, however registration is essential
