CLASS INFORMATION

This class will explore what it means to write about real life in contemporary fiction. Students will spend each class writing their own realist fiction, reading and sharing their work, and discussing prose by contemporary realist writers. Students will learn the basics of creative writing, from plot and essay structure to character development, setting, and scene.
