W+ Wednesday Ride

Hi!

Awesome that you are interested in joining this W+ Wednesday ride!

We are women lead advanced cycling club (unofficial). Every Wednesday we host rides from Maats located at the Van Woustraat.

We like to ride fast, have fun, and be safe!

Safety is important to us and therefore experience in group riding is required as well as being able to keep up with this pace.

We are an advanced group of riders and ride at a riding speed of 30 - 35 km/h and all take turns at the front.

We love the social and community aspect of riding in a group but also like to do the occasional sprint and rotate single file at a fast speed pushing each other to become stronger riders!

Often we eat pizza after our ride, just because we can ;-)

Some details about our rides:

- Meet between 6 PM and 6:30 PM, roll at 6:30 PM

- Route of 40 to 50 km.

- Average speed of around 28- 30 km/h (riding speed 30 - 35 km/h)

- Experience in group riding is required (hand signals)

- Women, female-identifying & non-binary only

Please bring:

- Well maintained bike *TT handlebars are not allowed

- Riding with cleats and road pedals is mandatory

- Snacks & water bidon

- Helmet

- A spare tire, a mini tool, and pump just in case
