Join us at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 14 as we welcome the 30-member Västgöta Nation Men’s Choir to worship. Known for their rich harmonies and deep student traditions, the choir is part of the Västgöta Nation—one of Uppsala University’s unique student organizations that serve as social, cultural, and residential hubs.
Uppsala is Minneapolis’s Sister City, with a 25-year history of cultural exchange. This visit marks the first trip to Minnesota for most of the choir. Their interest in Minnesota’s Swedish heritage led them to connect with Diamond Lake Lutheran through the American Swedish Institute. Drawn by our visible Scandinavian roots and commitment to social justice, they are excited to join us for worship and experience our Fall Festival afterward—an event unlike anything in Swedish churches!
