VU PHL-Spruce Foundation & Liberty Lands
About this Event
As a volunteer-led organization serving all residents and business owners of Northern Liberties, the NLNA maintains Libery Lands & our community center, connects neighbors to information and resources, and advocates on their behalf. Together we seek to cultivate connection, belonging, and a sustainable quality of life in our neighborhood.
What we will be doing:
In partnership with Liberty Lands, up to 50 VU and Spruce Foundation volunteers will help to sustain the park through the following activites:
- Repair the garden path by filling in and grading the ground
- Tree maintenance
- Clear the compost pile for transport out of the park
Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in.
VU's Birthday Celebration:
As part of this event, we’ll also be celebrating Volunteering Untapped’s birthday! Feel free to stay afterward for drinks and appetizers, and learn more about ways to get involved with the VU organization.
Event Notes:
You will receive an email with an attached waiver. Please print, sign, and bring the waiver with you to the event.
Extra copies will also be available on-site.
Parking & Transportation
- Parking: There is street parking available - we highly suggest carpooling!
- Nearby bus routes: We recommend using the trip planner to make it easier to find frequent options. Bus route #57 comes directly to the corner of the park
- Regional Rail: The MFL train stops at the intersection of Spring Garden & Girard, ~0.5 miles from the park
