- 9/11/25: Following each confirmation of eligibility - VSA NSW will publish a post profiling each of the candidates subject to the discretion of the Electoral officer.

To be eligible to apply for a State Executive role at the AGM, you must have been:
(1) A committee member (PR or Director) of the VSA NSW Association (State Team) OR
(2) An Executive of the VSA Committees (VSA University Chapters: UNSW, USYD, UTS, WSU, MQU)

The name speaks for itself, you overlook everything over VSA NSW, you are its leader and everything that happens to VSA NSW, is your responsibility. You fill any gaps that are needed and ensure that the team feels empowered and well equipped to take on the next big challenge.

You are the President's right hand, you represent him/her if they're not present. You maintain harmony within the committee, you are the gel of the committee and you overlook every VSA NSW event. You are the go-to person for the committee and our members.

You are the President's left hand. You liaise and maintain relationships with other VSAs from other unis and states and you communicate with external parties. You are also responsible for the professionalism of VSA NSW as you will deal with external bodies which may include: councils, businesses, and sponsors.

This role is the epicentre of all events as he/she will be creating the initial foundation of each project. This can include settling contracts, liaising with venue or 3rd party stakeholders, logistical support, overseeing budget maintenance, and supporting project heads with logistics and on-the-day operations.

The person responsible for VSA NSWβs finances. You are responsible for all reimbursements, budgets and money handling. As we are always looking for new ways to save costs and fundraise, you continually lead projects with a mindset of growing the resources of VSA NSW so that we can make a larger impact upon our community.

You are in charge of VSA NSW's branding and image. This includes preparing marketing schedules, creating key graphics, stimulating creative concepts for post content, managing multiple social media accounts, and providing data analysis on members, followers, and feedback.

The PA role, you are the point of contact for both the committee and the society. You are also in charge of all documents and records. You are also in charge of progress in the committee - whereby it is important that you're aware of how each member is going with their respective tasks.

βͺοΈ Nominations are done via the candidate registration form below which closes November 7th 11:59PM.
βͺοΈ Proxy nominations are allowed.
βͺοΈ Nominees will be contacted by the State Team on whether their application is successful by November 9th 2025.
βͺοΈ Nominations will then reopen on November 10th in the event that not all candidates were eligible and nominations reopen for Round 2, for only those specific vacant positions.
βͺοΈ The form will then be closed on November 12th with nominees being informed of eligibility within 24 hours.
βͺοΈ All nominees will be publicised on the VSA NSW Event Page/VSA IUC with their uploaded photo and extracts of their responses as the basis of the caption (300 words).
βͺοΈ After November 14th, if there are no qualifying nominations for a role, the position will remain vacant until the next EGM. This EGM will be organised by the incoming executive committee.
βͺοΈ Eligible voters include present committee members, directors and executives of VSA NSW and their respective chapter universities. They must be verified before being allowed to vote.

In accordance with the Constitution, written notice of proposed changes must be been given to the Secretary not less than seven (7) days before such a meeting. Notice of Motions must be submitted by 5pm 7th November 2025.

Pursuant to 9.3.2 "An electoral officer will be chosen by the incumbent Executive to independently oversee
the Annual General Meeting process and the subsequent election of the new Executive".
In 2025, the chosen electoral officer is TBA who will administer the proceedings and/or delegate any of the relevant responsibilities.
