Tijdens de Vrijdagavonden presenteren we tien weken lang een programma rond één of meerdere kunstenaars, een collectief of organisatie. Met ‘Everything Under’ (2024−2025) onderzoekt Mark Požlep de Gentse waterwegen met een zelfgebouwde boot. Tijdens zijn tochten gaat hij in dialoog met inwoners, lokale experts en passanten en nodigt hen mee uit om hun blik op deze lijnen in het landschap te delen.
In aanloop van de presentatie van ‘Everything Under’ cureert Mark Požlep een driedelige documentairereeks die afwisselend in Kunsthal Gent, de Koer en bij VIERNULVIER doorgaat. De film van Jonas Mekas is de eerste in de reeks.

During Friday Evenings, we present a 10-week programme around one or more artists, a collective or organisation. With ‘Everything Under’ (2024−2025), Mark Požlep explores Ghent’s waterways with a self-built boat. During his trips, he enters into dialogue with residents, local experts and passers-by, inviting them along to share their view of these lines in the landscape.
In the run-up to the presentation of‘Everything Under’, Mark Požlep is curating a three-part documentary series that will continue alternately in de Koer, Kunsthal Gent and at VIERNULVIER. The film by Jonas Mekas in the first in this series.
