Following a sold out Irish debut at The Workman’s Cellar, Vraell returns to Dublin this October. Tickets on sale Friday 23rd May at 10:00.
The tour marks a first round of performances across Europe, which has sparked excitement amongst his fans. Vraell’s ascent on digital platforms has been nothing short of magnetic, capturing a rapidly growing, fiercely loyal fanbase drawn to his distinct sound and authentic presence. His captivating performances and unique connection with listeners have ignited a demand that extends far beyond his home base. Now, as Vraell’s fans across Europe eagerly await live dates, it’s clear he’s creating a positive like minded community that’s ready to turn online support into sold-out shows. The debut album Once A Blue Hour was released in March of this year.
Vraell, the moniker of Alessio Scozzaro, makes music in the quietness of spring and summertime dusk. His music delves into the darkness and beauty of healing, painting an intimate picture with his deft guitar skill at the centre, highlighting its presence and his deep understanding of the instrument. He began playing as a child, studying classical music. That led him to begin writing his own works that infuses indie folk, like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver into his picking style, while simultaneously drawing on the rich sound of composers like Ólafur Arnalds, Max Richter and Portico Quartet.
His music celebrates the guitar’s malleability. Scozzaro sees the instrument as something that can hold the universe within it and he unravels it all; “Guitar has endless possibilities,” he says. “I love figuring it out.”
