Confirmed with the owner. This is their huge greenhouse where they grow and store orchids all year round. 1240 Dorset Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. For the cold days of winter, here is an opportunity to paint the outside/inside. We have been given special permission to work in the greenhouse on a day it’s not open to the public, so we have to be super respectful of the space and leave it exactly as we found it. There are all kinds of tropical plants and lots of orchid flowers. Dress in layers because it is humid and 80+ degrees inside the greenhouses. You are welcome to work in any medium but know that some of the aisles are narrow, so try to pack light. As this is an enclosed space, try to limit any materials that create noxious fumes.
It is really amazing to see this many Orchids in one place.
