Our next volunteer day is coming up and we’re looking forward to welcoming you along.It’s another busy month for us and we have loads of things we’d love your help with, especially with supporting the restoration of our barns ready for community events and our community cafe that’s coming along nicely.
We’ve a lot that needs doing on the land too as things are shooting up. You can learn about what we’re growing and have a change to take out your frustrations on weeds and nettles!
This means you will have the option to work in one or a variety of those groups across the day, getting to know the farm and those who come.
A couple of details:
- 11:00 start for site intros. Please come promptly so the coordinators can get you settled in after a site safety briefing. We’ll aim to do a joint kick off, but just in case, please ask for Gavin (buildings), Mary (growers), Carol & David (goats), they’ll have the jobs for each area.
1300-1400: lunch and optional farm tour. We do lunch as a bring and share normally (think salads, dips, breads, pastas).
After lunch there’ll be a chance to do some more of the jobs list, with an option swap groups if you’d like.
No experience is necessary and we welcome complete beginners and experienced folk alike. Please bring strong shoes and gloves if you have them along with any other PPE that may be handy. There may be more people than tools, so if you have you’re own favourite fork please bring along!
We have soooooo many jobs up the farm, growing building and animal care that this is a nice intro day, but if you can’t make it, or have any questions, please DM us for other opportunities.
