Volunteer Training

We are looking for dedicated garden volunteers (aged 16+) who are interested in helping lead garden volunteer work days. In this training, the staff at EMBARC will guide you through some of the most important tasks needed during volunteer work days. You will also learn how to teach beginner gardeners about the garden as you model correct maintenance, harvesting, and planting skills. We will work in the raised beds, greenhouse, pollinator garden, and orchard.

What to Bring:

• Gloves and tools (some extras will be available on a limited basis)
• Water and reusable water bottle
• Hat, sunscreen, & bug spray are highly encouraged
• Weather-appropriate clothing & closed toe shoes

If you want to bring a notebook and writing utensil to take notes, please do so. We will be covering a lot of information.
