Your very first step in becoming a Volunteer at the World Class Children's Hospital - Alder Hey !
About this Event

Alder Hey volunteers perform a huge range of vital activities in the Trust including, welcoming visitors, directing patients to clinics, supporting ward teams in the hospital and Trust, enhancing patient experience and much more. They are often the first people families, children and young people see and the ‘smiling face’ of Alder Hey, always ready to help with an open smile, helping hand and comforting shoulder.

Our volunteers have told us that giving their time is an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience, allowing them to meet friends, gain new skills and contribute to the community.

The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend one of these sessions. This will include all the information you need and also provide you with a chance to ask any questions. This session will also include an informal small group interview.

Please be advised, that in order to become an Alder Hey volunteer, you must be 16 years of age or older, and able to commit to your volunteering role for a minimum of 6 months for 4 hours per week.
