About this Event
Ulele Spring provides freshwater flow to the Hillsborough River and provides habitat for a variety of aquatic species including at least 18 species of fish, numerous invertebrates, a rich diversity of birds, and even regularly visiting manatees. The Spring was restored in 2014 and this is a maintenance event to ensure the Spring remains clean and teeming with life!
Volunteers are needed to help install native wetland plants, taking advantage of low tide, and to remove any trash that has accumulated in the Spring basins and along the Hillsborough River.
Please wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and possibly muddy. We also recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen. We will provide drinking water but please bring your own refillable water bottle. Children permitted with parental supervision.
