Volunteer for Palmer Park WinterFest 2023

People for Palmer Park will hold its free WinterFest community celebration on February 11, 2023 from 2-5 pm. It will be a Black History and pre-Valentine’s Day event with a “Love Your Park” theme. WinterFest will take place in and around the Log Cabin and the adjacent heated tent.

We need help setting up the area before the event — especially our new stage. During the event, there are many volunteers needed both inside the heated tent and Log Cabin and outside (especially if the weather permits ice skating and snow shoeing). Please sign up for a shift or more!

We need volunteers and groups to help:

Inside the historic Log Cabin (which we have been restoring to be a center for community gatherings, and educational and cultural enrichment);

Outside at the Horse & Carriage rides, set up and keep the fire pit burning and safe; and assist with winter sports and activities (weather permitting);

Inside the tent to help with arts and crafts, and Valentines card-making to deliver to veterans, children, and others in hospitals…and more, including welcoming and serving refreshments;

Help with cleanup and breakdown.
