About this Event
Four Sonoma County nonprofits, Volunteer Fire Foundation and Integrative Healers Action Network, The Six Foundation, and Paws As Loving Support have partnered to offer a multi-modality wellness event to support volunteer firefighters.
It works like this:
- Book one of four wellness sessions (there are two on Friday, Nov. 5, and two on Saturday, Nov. 6)
- When you arrive at your scheduled time, we’ll register and direct you to your first treatment
- You’re welcome to experience as many – or as few – treatments as you’d like during your session
Treatments typically include:*
Massage therapy: 20-minute clothes-on massage on a treatment table with a licensed massage therapist
Supports relaxation and relief of tension in the muscles and nervous system
Sports therapy: 20-minute treatment featuring manual therapy alongside functional/movement assessment
Supports relief from chronic and/or acute muscular/skeletal pain and greater physical strength and efficiency
Acupuncture: 15-20 minute treatment while sitting in a chair with small needles inserted in specific points on the body with a licensed acupuncturist
Supports the nervous system, stress, pain, detoxification, mood, and overall health
Chiropractic: 15-20 minute treatment featuring spinal adjustments with a chiropractic doctor
Supports pain relief, nervous system balancing, and structural alignment
Yoga & Pilates: 20-minute one-on-one session with a certified yoga or Pilates instructor
Supports the nervous system and improves flexibility, all levels welcome
Naturopathic Medicine:
- Nebulized Glutathione: 10-15 minute breathing treatment with glutathione, one of the body's main antioxidant and detox substances.
Helps to relieve shortness of breath or chronic cough associated with exposure to smoke or toxins
- Intravenous vitamin C and B vitamins: 15-20 minute IV therapy treatment with high doses of vitamin C and B vitamins.
Supports immunity and energy, as well as whole-body antioxidant support
*All practitioners are licensed and experienced in working with first responders and their treatments are designed with your specific needs and concerns in mind. Please note that our practitioners' schedules are subject to change and there may be some variation in treatments offered.
A few pointers to get the most out of the event:
1. When you arrive at Gold Ridge Station 2 (*the one on Watertrough Rd., not Hessel Rd.), please come to the back door for a temperature check
2. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (workout clothes are great)
3. We will do our best to ensure that you receive your preferred treatments, and in a timely manner, but your patience and willingness to try something new are encouraged and appreciated!
4. Space is limited, so if you can’t make your session or wish to switch sessions, please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible
5. COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed
It’s going to be a phenomenal event. We can’t wait to see you there!
