About this Event

Help us remove invasive plants from the Romanowski Park bioswale!

Romanowski Park is part of the Detroit Bird City project to create native bird and pollinator habitat in Detroit City parks. We arecurrently working to install a meadow at Romanowski Park and there is already a bioswale filled with native plants. As the bioswale plants are getting established we need help to remove some invasive plants such as Prickly Lettuce and thistle.

Date: Sunday July 19th

Time: 8am- 10am

Bring: work shoes, water bottle, work gloves, loppers and/or pruners.

The only availble bathrooms are port-a-johns.

Park at the lot on the corner of St John Ave and Trenton St. (This is right next to the bioswale.)
