Volunteer at Community Kitchens Oakland

Join PHAA and Volunteer at Community Kitchens Oakland on Sunday May 18th at 2pm.

Assist Chef Kendall at the CK Kitchen to make and package sandwiches, wraps and meal prep. No experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help. Make a difference and connect with fellow Cal Alumni while supporting a great cause. Following the volunteer event, we will head over to Drakes Dealership for a snack. Sign up now to volunteer!

Group size is limited for this event, please only sign up if you are able to attend. Please wear comfortable shoes, and you can bring a water bottle and apron if you'd like.

Community Kitchens (CK) brings restaurants, community organizations and volunteers together to help feed those in need in Oakland. Founded in 2020, CK provides over 10,000 meals per month through the CK Mobile Oasis outreach bus, town fridges, and community partners. In the Oakland neighborhoods CK serves, over half the people are going to bed hungry at night. CK's mission is to build sustainable, equitable and community-centric foodways driven by the voice of the people to support the underserved in our community.
