About this Event
Come join Wayne State University’s THINK Lab for the 2nd Annual Voices Unlocked, a free community event bringing together live music, educational talks, and mental health resources from across Metro Detroit.
This year’s theme, “Bridging the Gap” aims to break down barriers to understanding, strengthen trust between scientists and the public, and build lasting community connections through art, science, and dialogue.
🎶 What to Expect
Doors open at 6:00 PM!
From 6–7 PM, attendees are invited to explore 10+ resource booths featuring local Detroit and Wayne State organizations offering information, resources, and opportunities for community connection.
From 7–9 PM, local performers will take the stage, sharing their stories and experiences through live music and spoken word.
🧠 Community Resources
Connect with organizations from across Metro Detroit and Wayne State providing information and resources related to mental health, wellness, research, and community support.
🎟️ Silent Auction
The event will also feature a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO).
Auction prizes will include exciting experiences such as:
🏨 A hotel stay + dinner
🎤 Six weeks of private voice lessons
