About this Event

Voices of Hope Exhibition

Penistone Arts Week
📍 St John’s Church, Penistone📅 Thursday 26th March🚪 Doors open 7.15pm🎤 Event starts 8.00pm⏰ Finish approx. 10.30pm
An evening of honesty, art, music and hope.
Voices of Hope is a powerful and moving exhibition and live event that celebrates survival, resilience and the strength it takes to keep going.
I host a mental health podcast where people bravely share honest, open conversations about their struggles with mental health. For some, those struggles have included suicide attempts. This exhibition brings nine of those voices out of the headphones and into a shared space, not to dwell in the darkness, but to celebrate one powerful truth:
They are all still here.
What to expect on the evening
🎧 The Voices of Hope ExhibitionThroughout the venue you will be able to listen to audio excerpts from nine podcast guests as they share their stories, what they went through, and what helped them survive.
🎨 Artistic interpretationsNine incredible artists have volunteered their time and talent to create artwork inspired by one voice each. Every voice is represented by one artwork reflecting their darkest days and one artwork representing the hope they now carry.
📸 Portrait photographyEach voice is also represented by a present-day portrait taken by Kat at Bumblebugs Photography, capturing them as they are now, living proof that survival is possible.
🎶 Live entertainmentThe evening will include performances by Millhouse Green Male Voice Choir and a guest singer.
🎤 Guest speakers and live Q&AYou will hear from Voices of Hope and the artists involved in the exhibition, followed by a Q&A session where you are invited to ask questions, reflect and connect.
☕ Refreshments available
🎟️ Raffle on the nightPlease come prepared to buy raffle tickets.
Why this event matters
Voices of Hope is not about statistics. It is not about shame. It is about real people, real stories and real hope.
If you have ever struggled, supported someone who has, or simply want to understand mental health through compassion rather than judgement, this evening is for you.
Please join us for this unique and moving experience as part of Penistone Arts Week.Come to listen. Come to reflect. Come to leave reminded that hope exists, even in the darkest moments.
We would love to have you with us 💛
