About this Event
Overview
Where Our Giving Takes Root
Four years ago, Boston began reimagining what education philanthropy could look like.
Not charity. Not gatekeeping. But shared power.
EdQuity Boston was built on a simple belief: communities closest to students should help guide where resources go.
The Voices of EdQuity Breakfast gathers educators, families, school leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and neighbors for a morning rooted in that belief.
Last year, we spoke about urgency.
This year, we focus on structure.
How grassroots dollars are raised. And how community voice shapes what happens next.
We are shifting from explaining EdQuity to building with it.
Why This Matters
Public education funding systems were not designed with community governance at the center.
EdQuity Boston is changing that.
By fundraising collectively and investing directly in schools, educators, mental health supports, culturally affirming programs, and flexible school funding, we are strengthening the ecosystem around Boston’s students.
Real dollars.
Grassroots-raised.
Matched.
Guided by community voice.

About EdQuity Boston
EdQuity Boston is not a one-time campaign.
It is a long-term commitment to redesigning how resources reach Boston Public Schools.
Our goal remains clear:
Raise money to fund what Boston’s communities say they need — not just what traditional systems are willing to support.
Sponsorship Opportunities
