Voices of Change: A Celebration of Community Excellence

This special event will feature a delightful array of food and refreshing beverages, accompanied by uplifting music and engaging games. We are thrilled to welcome inspiring speakers who will share their insights, and we will honor our community champions with awards, creating an incredible opportunity for networking and celebration.

In partnership with The Maryland Commission on Civil Rights , this event celebrates the history and culture of the profound contributions of African American culture to society. It will feature a Learn and Paint that blends education, artistic expression, and community engagement in a vibrant, interactive format.

Event Highlights:

• Black-Owned Vendor Bazaar: A showcase of products and services from Black-owned businesses, offering a platform to celebrate entrepreneurship and culture.
• Spoken Word Performances: Talented spoken word artists will present pieces that highlight themes of justice, equality, and cultural pride.
• Personalized MLK Canvas Painting: Participants will paint personalized canvases of Dr. King, guided by local artists, creating a memorable keepsake.

Audience:
The event is open to the public, nonprofit organizations, and state and federal government representatives, fostering a broad and inclusive community connection.

This event is part of our “Legacy of Change: Celebrating Activism and Community Impact in Honor of Black History Month” series. Together, we will pay tribute to the significant contributions of those who have advanced equity, fought against injustice, and positively shaped the Baltimore community over the past decade.
