What's up family?

If you are aware of who we are at Voices In Power, you already know our Experiences are unmatched. Well, with our Poetry Open Mic Experience growing the way it is, we wanted to curate a second monthly series in our hometown Philly at a more intimate capacity, yet still with the BIG LOVE & VIBES.

And that brings us to welcoming The Poet's Pit: An Intimate Open Mic Experience every 3rd Tuesday in Philly.

This will carry the same culture of our Poetry Open Mic Experience - family, generosity, love, encouragement, passion, and of course - poetry. We just know once a month isn't enough and we wanted to turn up with our family on a Tuesday.

For our first one, we are featuring the beautifully talented poet Mya Fuentes. If you've been to one of our Poetry Open Mic Experiences on 1st Saturday's, you should be familiar with Mya and if not, then this is the perfect opportunity to get to know her and experience her poetry LIVE.

We will also be featuring food and drinks provided by our venue Roxy Hall & Bistro that will compliment your stomach being fed while your soul is fed by poetry.

Again, if you know, you know, and if not, the way you can find out is grabbing your ticket and coming through.

Tickets are extremely limited in comparison to our Poetry Open Mic Experiences on 1st Saturday, and those sell out every month so please don't wait before grabbing your tickets.

For poets looking to perform, our signup list is made available at 7:00 PM when the doors open and are a 'first come, first serve' basis with 15 slots available to sign. Poets are given ONE POEM under 5 MINUTES.

Please note: We are a poetry only open mic experience, meaning we do not allow any other type of performances but poetry. No music is allowed, whether live or on a track, no comedians, no singers, etc. We know our heart is for poetry and we want to create a space for our poets.

Please note: Tickets fees provided by Eventbrite are non-refundable. All sales are final and if you are unable to make it, a credit to purchase tickets in the future will be granted within 48 hours prior to the event date. Refunds or credits are not offered within 48 hours of the event date.
