What’s up family?

Here we are, back, in the Bronx at The Bronx Brewery for our monthly Outdoor Poetry Open Mic Experience featuring E The Poet Emcee. This isn’t your typical open mic so grab your tickets and come find out why.

Our Poetry Open Mic Experiences are pure fire, as usual, and SELL OUT every month. The room is filled with beautiful people, amazing talent, great food, dope music, and the energy was high. If you were in the building, you already know. And it’s time to do it again.

So, let’s get to the details:

Wednesday, July 20th, at 6:00 PM the doors over at The Bronx Brewery will open.

The Open Mic list will be available for signup at 6:00 PM and is limited to 17 slots and is first come, first serve basis for POETRY ONLY.

We kick the night off with some music, networking, eating, drinks, and open mic list sign ups. At around 6:30 PM, our host, Luis Marrero, will hop on the mic to kick the night off.

We will have our DJ KayKay47 keeping the vibes high with music, plus vendors, visual artists, food, drinks, and a featured poet for the night . And of course, most of the night gets dedicated to the poets who signed up. We will have some competitions throughout the night, to add some fun and engagement with the audience and many moments of laughs, love, and dancing. At 9:00 PM we will wrap the night up, and send you off… until next time.

That’s pretty much it, on paper, to say the least. But again, these aren’t just “open mic nights” so don’t get it twisted if this is your first time. We turn up and the vibe is everything.

For ARTISTS interested in performing:

We will have a 17 slot sign up sheet for the night. This is all we can fit and will do for the night. Please note, not everyone will be able to make the list due to the amount of artists who come to perform.

This is a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. Once the list is filled, we cannot allow any more sign ups due to time.

Please note: each artist gets ONE piece within a 5 minute time slot.

PLEASE NOTE: We only accept 3 slots to be taken by non-NY poets. This is also a first come, first serve.
