Voice for the Ocean - Youth Event Bristol (An evening with Doug Allan)

Join the Marine Conservation Society and Doug Allan for a free evening of networking, learning about our ocean and making new friends! This event is dedicated to you - our amazing young people - and will provide you with the opportunity to hear more about the Marine Conservation Society's work and how you can help protect our blue planet. Members of our #YouthOceanNetwork will be helping to lead the event and will be on hand to chat (hear from some of them here!).

The evening will consist of interactive workshops, networking, and a brilliant talk from our special guest, Doug, as a celebration of World Ocean Day (June 8th).

Doug is an award-winning wildlife cameraman and photographer, and one of our Ocean Ambassadors. He has worked in some of the wildest and most remote areas of our planet, and will be engaging everyone on marine life and conservation through the evening. He has filmed series such as The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Human Planet, Frozen Planet, Ocean Giants and Operation Iceberg. Doug believes it is vital to reconnect people – young and old – with the natural marine world.

If you want to work in conservation, marine biology, or are just interested in playing your part in looking after the environment, this event is for you!

Time: Doors open at 6pm with the event starting at 6.30pm sharp. We will finish by 9pm.

Venue: The Station - Creative Youth Network, Bristol's Central Youth Hub. Silver Street, Bristol, England, BS1 2AG

Refreshments (drinks) will be provided during a break.

This is a ticketed only event. Please sign up - you will not be granted access without a ticket.

The event is aimed at 13 to 25 year olds (under 18's require a guardian). If you are outside this age range and would like to attend please send our Youth Engagement Officer an email - [email protected] - as we would like to welcome as many young people as possible.
