About this Event
Voice Activation + Cacao Ceremony
Our own voices are the most healing musical instruments we have. Singing is such a healthy way to release all kinds of emotions, singing together in groups creates a feeling of community, connection and wellbeing. A joyful, therapeutic and uplifting experience!
Katty invites you to an empowering journey where you will discover the true power of your voice through dynamic voice activation practices and supported by sacred cacao and live music.
In this transformative workshop, we’ll explore the depths of self-expression and cultivate a profound connection between your inner self and your voice.
To deepen the experience, we will open with a heart-opening cacao ceremony. This ritual allows you to open to yourself and those around you, creating an environment of unity and receptivity. Build confidence, awaken your vocal strength and embrace your uniqueness in community.
What to expect
No singing experience needed. We will do some warm ups at the beginning and then you are encouraged to join with an open heart and open mind. Katty will be playing the Harmonium (accordion-like keyboard used in traditional Indian music), acoustic guitar and Shamanic Drum.
The mantras are short phrases, mostly sung in Sanskrit and English.
Katty will explain the meaning of the chants and how to pronounce the words. The text will be displayed on a board, so that the phrases are easy to follow.
This is perfect for you if you feel the call to sing, whether you’re experienced or not. It’s great for cultivating energy and a positive mind. If you’re feeling lonely, it’s a wonderful way to feel part of a group. If you’ve been feeling unseen, unheard or unable to express your truth - singing is the ultimate way to open up blockages in the throat chakra. Your voice is your own healing tool for you to explore and unlock your authentic self, Let's sing together to raise our vibrations, to express, show devotion and gratitude, feel connected to ourselves and each other..be happy and spread LOVE!

How to prepare for this workshop
Wear loose fitting clothes and bring a water bottle.
To reap all the benefits from this experience, come with an empty stomach or avoid eating at least an hour before the start of the workshop.
Again: prior experience with singing or making music is not necessary!
As part of this session, you are invited to drink a cup of hand crafted ceremonial cacao prepared with 5 aromatic spices and plantbased milk. The dose of cacao we serve is a safe dose for almost everyone, but as always, there are a few exceptions.
Please avoid consuming cacao if:
- you are taking high doses of SSRIs. Cacao releases serotonin, so it works as a mild antidepressant. When taken with SSRIs that release serotonin chemically it can potentially lead to serotonin syndrome. If you are taking low doses of SSRIs, we suggest having a lower dose of cacao (<10 grams).
- you are taking MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) should avoid consuming ceremonial cacao due to potential interactions.
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is generally recommended you reduce or cut out consumption of caffeine & stimulants during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.
