Start Your Year Outdoors: First Day Hike 2026There is no better way to kick off the New Year than with fresh mountain air and a good stretch of the legs. Join us as we ring in 2026 with a hike on the beautiful Reece Farm Trail.
This is a moderate hike, making it a great option for getting the blood flowing without being too strenuous. We’ll enjoy the winter landscape of the park and the camaraderie of fellow hikers starting their year off right.
What to Bring & Wear: Since North Georgia weather can be unpredictable in January, please come prepared:
Clothing: Dress in layers (avoid cotton if possible).
Footwear: Sturdy hiking boots or shoes are a must.
Gear: A hat, water, hiking stick, and snacks.
Food: Feel free to pack a trail lunch to enjoy afterward.
