Given the traditional meaning of this expression, Locus Amoenus is an ode to the natural element, from sunrise to sunset, from the forest to the sea, from the trees to the birds. The programme is 50 minutes long and consists of an alternation of pieces from the 19th to 21th Centuries, with Frank Martin’s Songs of Ariel as a central work.
