This intimate vocal workshop and song circle is an invitation to reclaim your voice as a source of power, truth, and liberation.Guided by Shylah Ray Sunshine, we will explore the voice not as performance, but as embodied expression - a tool for healing, self-trust, and creative awakening. Through gentle vocal exploration, breath, toning, shared songs, and guided prompts, participants are supported in dissolving fear, shame, and inhibition around being heard.
This vocal workshop and a community song circle is a space to come as you are with no performance or pressure, just voices weaving together in rhythm and presence.
Through simple songs, call-and-response, and moments of listening, we’ll create a circle rooted in belonging and collective prayer. Whether you sing often or feel a little shy, you are welcome here. This is about remembering the power of our voices when we sing together.

Known for her powerful voice, radiant stage presence, and grounded authenticity, Shylah has become one of the most influential voices in the world of conscious soul music.
Coming from humble roots, Shylah dreamed of becoming a singer from a young age, teaching herself piano, percussion, and vocal expression. After years of performing at karaoke nights and open mics to develop her craft, a serendipitous visit to Los Angeles sparked her professional music career. Around the same time, she began her journey into motherhood, giving birth to her first daughter at home at the age of 20 — a transformation that became the catalyst for her songwriting and spiritual awakening.
By 2009, she was performing throughout Los Angeles, where her gospel-like voice, sensual tone, and deeply moving lyrics began to attract attention. Her unique blend of Neo-Soul, R&B, Blues, and New Age Jazz—infused with ambient, organic, and electronic elements—creates a sound both timeless and transcendent. Inspired by Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Fela Kuti, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, and Bob Marley, Shylah’s music embodies radical emotional transparency, feminine empowerment, and spiritual depth.
Her mission is to inspire others to live boldly and authentically, using their voices as instruments of truth and transformation. Each song is a vessel for spiritual healing, Indigenous representation, community connection, cultural equality, and environmental respect.
