Vocal Music Presents Die Fledermaus

"Die Fledermaus" (The Bat) is a comic operetta by Johann Strauss II, that takes place in Vienna in the late 1800’s. A nobleman named Eisenstein is tricked by his friend Falke into attending a lavish masked ball hosted by Prince Orlofsky. This leads to a series of hilarious misunderstandings and mistaken identities as everyone is disguised, including Eisenstein's wife Rosalinda and their chambermaid Adele, all culminating in a chaotic revelation at the end. The plot revolves around Falke's elaborate plan to get back at Eisenstein for once leaving him humiliated dressed as a bat in public.
