Free your voice and body with experienced singer, voice teacher, and song leader Joy Truskowski! She will lead you through gentle relaxation, breathing, and sounding exercises to get in touch with your body and the world around you. And then she will invite you in movement and sounding activities that will allow you to express your authentic voice in a safe, judgement-free space. This workshop is for all voices - no experience necessary! Freeing your voice and loving it is healing for the soul and a powerful way to connect with the earth and our communities.$15 in advance; $18 on the day of the event.
Bio: Joy Truskowski is a singer-songwriter who has performed in the region for 13 years. She founded Star City Circlesinging in 2019 and has been co-leading circlesinging gatherings every month since then. She attended circlesinging training with Bobby McFerrin and others at the Omega Institute. She is trained to lead Música do Círculo, a Brazilian form of community singing.
