Do you feel you’ve hit a plateau with your vocal performance?
Do you have a feeling that more is possible?
Join passionate artist & Alexander Technique teacher Georgia Shine for a 2-hour workshop connecting your voice, body, and mind for more ease & flow.
Introduction by Bec Tilley: Voice Coach:
As a vocal coach, every week I work with singers of all levels, from professional performers to complete beginners, and everyone in between. They love to sing a variety of music from pop, rock, folk, jazz, blues, RnB, soul, funk, music theatre, opera, metal, and more!
Every single one of these people who I work with could benefit from more ease & comfort in their vocal instrument - i.e. the whole body! So I have organised for my wonderful friend Georgia Shine, an Alexander Technique teacher, to offer these workshops to my vocal coaching clients (and anyone else who wants to join us!)
I’ve attended numerous workshops, classes, and courses over the past 12+ years with various teachers of Alexander Technique (AT). While AT can be tricky to describe, it’s not difficult to do – and the results are fantastic.
Less pain in everyday tasks & movements, increased sense of freedom and ease in the body and voice, easeful breathing, the feeling of mind & body cooperating towards your aim instead of fighting each other (or fighting the task).
AT gives us a deeper connection with the body, an understanding of how to cooperate with the way it is designed instead of working against it, and new ways of thinking about how we move, breathe, speak, play an instrument, and sing.
Georgia Shine has been deeply delving into the world of Alexander Technique for over ten years now and has many gifts to share with us. She brings a wealth of experience, tools and ways-in to cooperation with the symphony that is your whole self in action.
Georgia has integrated the process with her performance as a cellist and vocalist and is a highly experienced teacher and performer. She brings her creative passion and joy for this elegant process with her into each workshop she teaches - no two classes are ever the same.
If you’d like to feel more comfort and less tension or resistance when singing, speaking, playing your instrument, or just going about your day... join us for this workshop!
