This presentation will describe the distinctiveness of early Shenandoah Valley religion. Unlike eastern Virginia, diversity characterized the Valley. Each fellowship could claim uniqueness or even outsiderness with the result that being unusual was the norm. Early Valley religion resembled a quilt of small, unusual and varied patches.
