Like Pop Rocks hitting the tongue, New York’s Tchotchke is classic candy-coated rock’n’roll. Sweet on the outside but filled with surprises once properly ingested, the three-piece have been winning over audiences with their Rundgren-tinged sound and masterful harmonies since 2021. Channeling a Shangri-Las style of conversational vocals, the cast of characters that Tchotchke personifies in Playin’ Dumb (latest album, 2025) also embody classic girl group traits of lovelorn winners and losers. All recorded and produced in-between touring with The Lemon Twigs. 2026 marks the Gothenburg (and Sweden) debut, and we're very happy to welcome Tchotchke to Viva Summer Sounds! HAND AUDIOVISUAL
Hand Audiovisual outta Gothenburg takes the stage with complete lack of illusion, delivering an eccentric, intense, and massive live show from a world defined by double drum kits, burning Rhodes, and heavy, rhythmic bass lines. In February 2026, they released their self-titled debut album “Hand Audiovisual,” confidently showcasing their unique, unpolished sound.
HOT FACE (UK)
Hot Face, a group from southern London, is kinda what we mere mortals call ”peak garage punk and rock n roll”. Is this their first time in Sweden? We think so? But to be frank, we never asked the question. It didn’t seem relevant. What’s relevant is their captivating live shows, sound, raw sharpness and energy. In November 2024 Hot Face were invited by Dan Carey to record a live album at Abbey Road, a one-day event that unfolded in front of an audience and was recorded direct to tape.
