About this Event
In this hands-on workshop geared toward older adults, participants will use cyanotype, a photographic printing process that uses light to transfer images onto fabric, to create their own printed textile. You'll design an image using paper, stencils, and transparencies, then expose and develop it on fabric using UV light.
No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided at no cost. Participants will leave with their finished piece and a take-home kit to continue experimenting. Lunch and refreshments are included, and free parking is available in the Glassell garage.
This workshop is part of the Vitality Arts programming, presented by the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in partnership with the Community Artists' Collective and its Jubilee Quilt Circle. The Quilters in Residence program at the Glassell School of Art is sponsored by E.A. Michelson Philanthropy.
