About this Event
Breathe with intention. Reset with clarity.
In a fast-moving world, the simplest tool for calm and focus is often the one we overlook most: the breath.
This beginner-friendly 60-minute session introduces classical pranayama (yogic breath regulation), a centuries-old practice designed to steady the mind, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance to the body.
Through a series of guided breathing practices, you will learn simple, repeatable techniques that help you shift out of stress and return to a state of calm presence.
Whether you're navigating a demanding workday, preparing for restful sleep, or seeking greater emotional steadiness, this session offers practical tools you can return to again and again.
What you’ll experience
During this guided session, you’ll be introduced to gentle and accessible pranayama practices, including:
• Alternate Nostril Breathing to balance the nervous system
• Humming Breath to soothe the mind and release tension
• Gentle Chanting to deepen breath awareness and focus
• Simple breathing patterns to support stress regulation and mental clarity
The session closes with practical ways to integrate breathwork into daily life, from work transitions to evening wind-down routines.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with techniques you can practice anytime to downshift stress, improve focus, and respond to challenges with greater calm and clarity.

Meet your practitioner
Shaleen Porwal
Drawing on his Indian roots, Shaleen Porwal is a pranayama practitioner who guides individuals to use breath as a practical pathway to calm, clarity, and vitality.
Pranayama is the ancient yogic discipline of regulating the breath to harness the body’s vital life force through structured breathing techniques and focused awareness.
Shaleen’s approach blends traditional practices with modern wellbeing science. Contemporary research suggests that breath regulation may support the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, the natural rest-and-recovery response associated with reduced stress and improved emotional regulation.
His sessions emphasise steady pacing, mindful attention, and accessibility, helping participants develop a consistent breath practice that fits naturally into daily life.
Participants often turn to pranayama to support goals such as better sleep, reduced tension, improved focus, and greater emotional steadiness.
