Welcome to Visual Verses Paint & Poetry - Two Day Workshop! Join Alicia Cobb & Silent Quill for a creative journey combining visual art and poetry. Over this two day (three hours each day) workshop, immerse yourself in the world of connection, community, and creative expression. This workshop is designed for ages ten years to adult and will encourage participants to develop better self awareness, build social skills, confidence and community through creative writing and visual art. Participants will work individually and collectively. The activities in this workshop will help participants to view themselves and others as valuable members of the community, capable of creating and contributing beauty to the world around them.

About the Instructors:

Alicia C. Cobb is an award-winning visual artist, body painter, public speaker and teaching artist. She acts as a mentor to many young aspiring artists and is a teaching artist specializing in social emotional learning through visual art throughout Connecticut & internationally.

Silent Quill empowers individuals through Spoken Word Poetry and Rap. As a dedicated teaching artist, he specializes in creative writing and performance, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL). His workshops help students develop self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation through the arts. Silent believes in the transformative power of creative expression and strives to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.
