About this Event
In this 8-week course, participants will dive into the art of personal storytelling through a fusion of alternative photography techniques and bookmaking. Using methods such as Van Dyke brown printing, pinhole photography, Polaroid film, and Creative Writing, participants will create tangible artworks that capture moments and themes from their lives. They will then learn book arts techniques to turn these images into handmade narrative books, combining visual art with written storytelling. Throughout the course, participants will explore the fundamentals of light, composition, character, and narrative structure to craft unique, deeply personal stories that resonate through both image and text.
