About this Event
Bronx Visual artists Rosemarie Fiore and Michael Ferris will give Powerpoint presentations of their work to the Morris Park community and NYPL patrons. Fiore is known for her colorful and dynamic smoke and fireowrk art. In addition to exhibiting both nationally and internationally, she received a 2025 Artist Grant through the New York State Council on the Arts and a 2025 Arts Fund Grant through the Bronx Council on the Arts. Michael Ferris' sculpture is constructed from reclaimed wood and is informed by his Middle-Eastern heritage. His work is surfaced with a reclaimed wood mosaic process inspired by the wood intansia technique developed in Damascus, Syria. In 2024/25 Fiore and Ferris taught free community painting workshops at the Morris Park Library branch through the generous support of the Bronx Council on the Arts.
