About this Event
Step inside one of London’s most historic hidden gems, Lambeth Palace, as the doors are opened to the public for a Heritage Open Palace Experience (HOPE) Day, with 100% of proceeds from ticket sales going directly to support our work at Arts for Dementia.
HOPE days are special summer events where Lambeth Palace opens its doors to allow the public inside to explore the working Palace. Visitors will enjoy self-guided tours through some of the Palace’s most historic and significant spaces, including:
- The State Rooms – where generations of Archbishops have welcomed guests and dignitaries.
- The Guard Room – one of our stunning historical halls dating back to the 14th century.
- The Great Hall – built in 1663 by Archbishop William Juxon.
- The Crypt Chapel – a sacred space for prayer and reflection.
The Palace gardens will sadly be closed due to ongoing works.
Please note that security checks will be in operation.
These HOPE Days are a rare opportunity to share the rich history and hospitality of Lambeth Palace while raising funds and awareness for fantastic causes. This day is in support of Arts for Dementia.
Entry will be from 12:00 to 16:00. Tickets allow guests a maximum of 1 hour on site – i.e. a ticket for 12:00 permits access from 12:00 to 13:00. This limit is to prevent overcrowding and to ensure a smooth flow of visitors.
