A propos de l' événement:
Du XVIIe siècle à nos jours, Visibles ! présente 42 figures noires qui ont marqué l'Histoire de France mais qui restent méconnues ou oubliées.

Dans des domaines aussi variés que les arts et la culture, la politique, le sport ou les sciences, on retrouve des stars, des penseurs, des héros, des champions et des inventeurs. Grâce à leur talent, leur parcours ou leur engagement, ils et elles ont brisé de nombreux plafonds de verre et se sont battus pour l'égalité et la liberté.

La sélection des personnalités et la coordination entre les auteurs et la maison d'édition (Stock) ont été assurées par NORME.


A propos de Binkady-Emmanuel Hié:

Diplômé de la Faculté de droit de la Sorbonne et de l'École du Barreau de Paris en 2016, Binkady-Emmanuel Hié a mis de côté sa carrière d'avocat pour travailler dans le mécénat à l’Opéra national de Paris.

À la suite du mouvement Black Lives Matter, il a co-écrit le manifeste "De la question raciale à l'Opéra de Paris", une initiative qui a ouvert une conversation sur les inégalités ethno-raciales au sein de l'institution.

En 2021, il a fondé NORME, une agence dédiée à la lutte contre les inégalités ethno-raciales en France selon une méthode adaptée au contexte national français.

Son premier livre, Visibles ! Figures noires de l’histoire de France co-écrit avec Léo Kloeckner et illustré par Aurélia Durand est paru en octobre 2023.

Tristan Cabello est historien et politologue, spécialisé dans l'étude des minorités aux États-Unis. Il est maître de conférences à Johns Hopkins, où il dirige le programme de Master of Liberal Arts."

From the 17th century to the present day, Visibles! presents 42 black figures who have marked the History of France but who remain little-known or forgotten.

In fields as varied as arts and culture, politics, sport or science, we find stars, thinkers, heroes, champions and inventors. Thanks to their talent, their background or their commitment, they have broken many glass ceilings and fought for equality and freedom.

The selection of personalities and coordination between the authors and the publishing house (Stock) were ensured by NORME.


About Binkady-Emmanuel Hié:

Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Sorbonne and the École du Barreau de Paris in 2016, Binkady-Emmanuel Hié put aside his career as a lawyer to work in development and fundraising at the Paris National Opera.

Following the Black Lives Matter movement, he co-wrote the manifesto "On the Racial Question at the Paris Opera", an initiative that opened a conversation about ethno-racial inequalities within the institution.

In 2021, he founded NORME, an agency dedicated to the fight against ethno-racial inequalities in France using a method adapted to the French national context.

His first book, "Visibles! Black Figures in French History" (not translated into English yet) co-written with Léo Kloeckner and illustrated by Aurélia Durand was published in October 2023.

About Tristan Cabello:

Tristan Cabello is a historian and political scientist, specializing in the study of minorities in the United States. He is a lecturer at Johns Hopkins, where he directs the Master of Liberal Arts program.
