We’re excited to announce that we are collaborating with Nova Northern Star to co-produce a powerful evening of conversation, connection, and collective growth. This special event is designed by Black and Racially Minoritised women, for Black and Racially Minoritised women.

Nova Northern Star supports women and young girls through trauma-informed work, including 1:1 support, retreats, workshops, and community-building. Their mission is rooted in creating safe, nurturing spaces where healing and empowerment can thrive.

Taking place on 25th June at Acero Sheffield, Visible, Vocal, Valued is more than a panel — it’s a space for women to be heard, supported, and inspired. This evening will feature an engaging panel discussion on navigating systems — whether in work, wellbeing, or wider society — led by host Yejide Adewakun (BloomElle Network), with guest speaker Shleeta Palmer (Nova Northern Star).

Together, we’ll explore:

• The importance of visibility and being recognised in spaces that weren’t designed with BRM women in mind.
• Finding and using your voice with confidence.
• Building communities that truly support and uplift one another.

The session will open up into an audience-led discussion, creating space for shared experiences, honest questions, and meaningful dialogue.

This event is designed to foster genuine connection. You’ll take part in an interactive networking activity, where you’ll not only meet others but introduce someone new to the room — spotlighting their work and story.

We’ll also be guided through a mindfulness activity led by Shleeta, offering a moment to ground, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves amidst the conversation.

This is an evening about cultivating an ecosystem where we are seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether you come to listen, share, or simply be in community — your presence matters.
