About this Event
The hand-stitching skills you will learn with Tessa can be applied to all types of clothing, including, jeans, sweats, shirts, outerwear, knitwear.
During this hand sewing class you will learn:
How to use embroidery threads.
Three stitches to get you started on creating your own designs
Materials for applying a design to fabric
How to use patches to repair
How to finish your work for a neat result and wearability.
By the end of this class you will have the skills you need to practice mending your loved items.
Please bring an item along for mending advice or to practice on.
*Please note this is not a Visible Darning class. I will not be covering darning techniques for knitwear in this workshop
*For beginners, please avoid bringing highly stretchy items ( ie lycra sportwear) or delicate fabrics at this stage.
